The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on top of the S end of a prominent N−S ridge, which provides extensive views of the surrounding area.
Raised oval area (c. 40m N−S; c. 35m E−W) defined by a bank, and enclosed by an external fosse. The bank rises c. 0.8-1m above interior ground level, and has a steep external slope (ext. H 1.7-2m, 3m to base of fosse at NE). The bank is topped by much moss-covered stone, which appears to be the remnant of a wall (Wth 1.6m; H 0.3-0.6m) of relatively recent date. At E there is a stone-lined entrance gap (Wth 2.6m) through the bank. The fosse is clearly evident on the N arc as a broad depression (Wth 3-4m at top, 2m at base; ext. D c. 0.5m), but is very shallow (ext. D 0.2m) elsewhere, and obscured by a farm track at SW-W. A section of the bank and fosse at NW has been quarried away. A later field wall, on a roughly NW−SE axis, extends across the N edge of the rath. The rath is engulfed in overgrowth and densely ringed by trees, rendering inspection difficult.
