The National Monuments Service's description
In the sacristy of Murrisk Augustinian friary.
A fragment of a stone cross bearing a relief carving of the crucified Christ. Only one arm of the cross and a small portion of the shaft survive, exhibiting the left side of Christ’s head with his hair depicted as linear grooves, the upper portion of his torso and his out-stretched left arm, with the individual fingers of the hand delineated, and a small circular-headed nail pierces the palm.
The style of the carving suggests that the cross dates to the period late 16th to late 17th century.
