The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a gentle SW-facing slope at the extreme E end of a drained peat basin in enclosed land. The site is overlooked by a steep hill a short distance to SE. This basin also contains six other fulachtaí fia, MA085-017---- lies c. 130m distant to WSW. The fulacht fia is visible as a small deposit of heat-fractured stone exposed only in northern face of a recently deepened, V-shaped drain (Wth 1– 1.5m × D 0.5–0.75m) that runs downslope from NE to SW. It takes the form of a thin band (L c. 2.1m × T c. 0.25m) of small heat-fractured sandstones and numerous fragments of charcoal, the top of that lies c. 0.4m below the surface of the pasture field.
