Situated on a steep SW-facing hill slope, part of the western flanks of Knockmore. There is a stream c. 35m to S. The hut is associated with an enclosure (MA084-003001-), it lies just outside the line of the enclosure at S, on a steep S-facing slope.

It consists of a poorly defined hut platform, roughly circular in plan (NNE–SSW 4m, WNW–ESE 3.6m). From NW through N to ENE (upslope side) it is delimited by an inward-facing grassy scarp (H 0.5m max.). In contrast, the downslope side, from SE through S to WSW, is delimited by an outward-facing scarp. Two large boulders protrude from its outer face, which is up to 0.4m high. At the eastern and western sides of the hut are gaps, probably the result of the fact that the external ground surface is level with the interior at these points: one may, however, have formed the entrance. The interior is smooth, grassy and almost level.
