The National Monuments Service's description

Located in a flat expanse of boggy ground. A farm track, bordered by a drainage ditch, is located 6m to NW, forming the W boundary of the field.
Low, roughly circular mound (diam. 7.7m) with a slight central depression, possibly indicating the position of a trough. A small section, denuded by farm stock, reveals characteristic burnt stone and charcoal fragments. There is burnt mound (MA081-053----) c. 65m to SE, and Rathnaguppaun Castle, a tower house (MA081-15001-) is located c. 100m to SE.
