The National Monuments Service's description
Located close to the base of a ridge, in poorly drained, lowlying rush-grown land. There is a field drain 5.5m to S and an earthen field bank 3.5m to E. This fulacht fia was discovered in October 2015 during field walking in advance of a road re-alignment scheme. It consists of a grass-covered, kidney-shaped mound (max. dim. 14m NW–SE; 8.5m NE-SW). The mound is highest (H 0.85m) at the NW and lowest (H 0.45m) at SE. A slight dip on the SW side is the likely location of the trough. Erosion of a portion of the SW side of the mound by farm stock reveals that it is composed of black charcoal-rich soil and burnt stone. (pers. comm. Leo Morahan, February 2016)
