The National Monuments Service's description
In a promontory fort (MA075-001001-). This record is listed in the SMR (1991) and the RMP (1997) as 'ecclesiastical remains'. It is based on a references in Westropp (1914, 315) to the possibility that there may have been a church and monastic settlement within the promontory fort. Within a rath (MA075-001008-), which is enclosed within the promontory fort, there are a children’s burial ground (MA075-001010-), a bullaun stone (MA075-001014-) and a hut site (MA075-001015-), however, no remains of a church have been positively identified.
