The National Monuments Service's description

In lowlying, wet pasture, located on the N bank of a stream, sheltered to W–NE by the curve slope of a small ridge. There is rising ground also c. 50m to S.
A layer (L c. 2m; D c.0.8m) of angular shattered stone in charcoal-rich soil is exposed in the eroded N bank of the stream gully (D 1.4m). Three large stones are visible at the E end of the layer. It is not possible to determine the original full extent of the mound. The stream has been dredged in recent years and upcast material lines the river bank.
