The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a rise. There is an E−W road immediately to N.
Roughly circular raised area (24.8m N−S; 26.9m E−W) defined by a scarp with remnants of wall footings (Wth 1.8-2m) on top and drystone facing (H 0.5m) on its external slope. At E−S the basal courses of the stone facing are intact, but at S−NW the stone facing is intermittent and partly obscured by overgrowth. A large boulder is incorporated into the scarp at S. At NNW−NNE the scarp is incorporated into a field wall (Wth 0.6m), bordering a road, which respects the curve of the enclosure. There is a low terrace (Wth 2m at E, 3.1m at S; H 0.3m at E, 1m at S) immediately outside the scarp at E−S.
A field wall on a N−S axis cuts across the centre of the cashel. A series of irregular-shaped, surface hollows (total L 8m; max. Wth c. 2m) is evident immediately adjacent and parallel to the W side of this field wall. A portion the NE quadrant has been quarried away, and a small pit (2m N−S; 1m E−W; D 0.45m) has been dug into the NW quadrant. A farm track skirts around the E half of the cashel.
