The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a ridge, close to the break of slope at the SE side, overlooking lowlying damp ground to SE, rising ground to S and expanses of bog to SW and W.
This possible rath is indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular embanked enclosure; by the time of the 1930 edition it has been subsumed into a system of later field boundaries defining a network of small subrectangular walled fields, now encroached on by blackthorn scrub
Slightly raised, roughly subcircular area (31.5m E−W; c. 30m N−S) defined by an earth and stone field fence, which may preserve an original bank; it is largely concealed by overgrowth and difficult to examine. A short length of drystone wall defines the N−NNE arc.
Gaps at N (Wth 2.5m) and SW (Wth 2m) now allow tractor access to the interior. A low E−W field fence crosses the interior to S of centre.
