The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a hill, which provides excellent views.
Raised circular area (diam. c. 35m) defined by a scarp (ext. H 1.8m, at N), which is enhanced by the natural hill slope, especially at SE−S. The scarp retains a low internal lip at W−NE and is topped by a drystone field wall at S−W. A portion of the scarp at NE has been dug away. Remnants of a trackway, flanked by field walls, skirts the base of the scarp at NW−NE; it lead E to a vernacular farmstead, now ruined, which is shown on the1838 OS 6-inch map.
The interior appears to have a slight slope down from centre to N. It was covered in an impenetrable thicket of blackthorn at the time of inspection in 1997.
