The National Monuments Service's description
In rough, heather-covered pasture, located on a hill, with excellent views in all direction.
Slightly raised circular area (25m NW–SE; c. 25m NE-SW) defined E–NNW by an earthen scarp (H 0.35-0.6m at NW, 1.4m at SE), best preserved E–SE where it is enhanced by the natural slope. Stones protruding in parts along the top of the scarp may be the remnants of wall footings (Wth c. 1.4m). At N–NE the scarp has been levelled and is discernible only as a slight undulation marked by differential vegetation growth.
A field wall on a NNW–SSE axis crosses the NE side of the interior. Slightly SE of centre, and abutting the bisecting property wall, is a ruined sub-rectangular building (MA072-051001-), probably the vernacular house shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map.
