The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on an E−W ridge, at the break of slope on the S side.
This monument is indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular embanked enclosure and on the 1930 edition as a roughly D-shaped enclosure bordered on the straight side at W by a N−S road, which leads to a farmstead at N.
A slightly raised D-shaped area (22.5m N−S; 19.2m E-W to road) defined on the curving E side by remnants of a stony bank and bordered on the straight side at W by a sunken road (Wth 3.6m; D 1.8m below enclosure interior), which cuts through the slope of the ridge and has truncated the W edge of the originally circular enclosure. The enclosing bank (Wth 3.8m at N, 2.5m at S; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.6m at N, 1.4m at S) is reduced to a broad, low stony rise; the external slope at S is enhanced by the natural ridge slope. There is a break (Wth 2m) at N.
The interior is level and grassy.
