The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located in lowlying damp ground on the E side of a small N−S stream valley. There is an expanse of flat bog 100m to N.
This possible cashel is not shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; it is depicted on the 1930 edition as a subcircular enclosure outlined by a solid line.
Roughly circular, very slightly raised area (23m E−W; 24m N−S) enclosed by a stone bank (Wth 3m at E, 4.3m at W; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.9m at W). The stone bank is evident as a moss- and sod-covered jumble of stones, many of which are small and medium-sized –no intact wall facing or masonry structure is visible. It serves as a field fence on the E half. There is no obvious break or entrance gap. The interior is flat and grassy. Remnants of a field wall (Wth 1m; H 0.2m) extends from the stone bank at W across the interior for 10m to the centre, ending in an expanded terminal (Wth 7m N−S).
