The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on a rise, with fall of ground to W and a more gently fall to N.
Circular area (29m N-S; 32.4m E–W) defined by a remnants of a drystone wall, which has collapsed to a low, sod-covered stone bank.
At S–SW the wall (Wth 1.8m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.3m) retains remnants of the original internal and external stone facing of large stones. At SW–NE, where the natural fall of ground is steepest, the stone bank has a broad slump (Wth 4.7m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.85m), and appears to incorporate field clearance stones. There is a low section (Wth c. 4m) in the stone bank at E but no clearly defined entrance gap.
Remnants of a field wall (Wth 0.6m; H 0.2m) on a NE–SW extends across the N half of the interior. A souterrain (MA072-004002-) is located in the S half of the interior.
There is a small stand of conifers in the NW quadrant of the cashel, and a clump of blackthorn bushes encroaches on the stone bank at NW. A small area of quarrying (diam. c. 3m) cuts into the external face of the stone bank at N.
