The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, straddling a rise on the crown of a hill, with panoramic views in all directions, including Nephin Mountain to NW. There is gentle rise in ground level immediately to S of the cairn.
Sub-circular, sod-covered cairn (13.5m E–W; 12m N–S) of earth and stone, defined by a scarp (H 1.1m at E, 0.8m at W; W slope 3.2m at E, 1.9m at W). The sides of the cairn are well defined, except to S where it grades into surrounding ground level. The top of the cairn (8.4m E–W; 9.8m N–S) is fairly level but has a rather uneven surface broken by stones protruding from the sod. Traces of cultivation ridges on a N–S axis are evident on the hilltop close to and to N of the cairn.
