The National Monuments Service's description

This mill is listed in the 1635-37 Strafford Inquisition of Co. Mayo: '…the castle [MA071-185001-] of Boholo, and half qr of land there onto belonging, called the half qr of Bocholo, with a mill;..' (O’Sullivan 1958, 119). The ‘castle of Boholo’ probably refers to Bohola motte (MA071-076----) which is located adjacent to a stream. The mill may have been located on this stream, but no remains have been found and its exact location is unknown.
