The National Monuments Service's description

Utilises a rise in an area of undulating average and boggy pasture. Ground rises gently to S−SW and falls gently for c. 120m to the banks of the Trimoge River.
This rath is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a roughly oval embanked enclosure (diam. 35m E−W; c. 30m N−S); on the 25-inch plan it is shown tightly enclosed within a subrectangular field plot, with a trackway leading off it to N, and by the time of the 1931 OS 6-inch edition, the subrectangular field plot is shown but not the rath.
The subrectangular walled field plot is extant, and slight remains of the levelled rath (c. 39m W−E; c. 28m N−S) can still be seen within the enclosed space. A low semicircular undulation curving N−SW preserves the E half of the rath perimeter. The W arc of the rath appears to be subsumed into an earth and stone field fence (Wth 1.2m; H 0.8-1m) which defines the W side of the field plot. There is a slight slope down from centre to S in the interior. Another rath (MA071-180----) is located 180m to S.
