The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a prominent rise, utilising a marked fall of ground to S–SW. Views are especially extensive E–SW over undulating terrain. There is a stream/drain at the base of the slope c. 50m to SW. To SW of the stream, ground rises steeply to a high ridge.
A circular embanked enclosure is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; it is not shown on later map editions. It has been levelled, but outline of a slightly raised oval area (34.7m NW–SE; c. 25m NE–SW) is defined at W–SE by the broad slope of a levelled scarp (H 1.5m; Wth of slope c. 8m) and at S–W by slight undulations, merging with the natural fall of ground. The entrance may have been to ESE where the levelled remains are lowest (H 0.4m) and where the sloping spine of the ridge provides a natural routeway to E–SE.
