The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a rise, with good but not extensive views.
Circular platform (diam. 27.8m N−S) defined by a scarp (H 1.3m at S, 1.4m at N), which has been levelled to a slight undulation at NE−SE. A sunken farm road on a NNE−SSW axis cuts through the E half of the rath –the levelled E portion of the rath lies immediately to E of the road.
There is a roughly circular, slightly raised feature (8.4m N−S; 7m E−W) in the centre of the rath interior, defined by a raised rim (H 0.4-0.6m) on its W half. It encloses a shallow sunken area (diam. c. 2-2.6m; D c. 0.5m) at its centre. This hollow was obscured by overgrowth at the time of inspection but the base felt stony underfoot. The significance of this feature is unclear; it might be a partly collapsed souterrain or the remnants of a hut site.
Long grass in the rath interior; hawthorn trees and brambles around the scarp; hawthorn hedgerows flanking the farm road. There is a rath (MA071-109----) 120m to NE.
