The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on a natural rise. The Gweestion River is 160m to S. The views are best to N–NE but are generally not extensive.
Raised oval area (27m NW–SE; 18m NE–SW) defined by an earthen scarp (H 2.6-3m at SW–W; 1.5m at NE). The substantial and relatively vertical external slope of the scarp is enhanced by the natural fall of ground, particularly on the SW–W. The entrance appears to have been at ENE where there is a gap (Wth 2m) facing the most gently sloping side of the natural rise.
The rath interior is level and grassy; the scarp is ringed with hawthorn, blackthorn and ash trees. An old quarry pit encroaches slightly on the scarp at E. There is a modern house immediately to SE. There are raths (MA071-018----; MA071-020----) 275m to NNW and 175m to S, respectively.
