The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on the top of a prominent knoll, with a steep fall of ground at E, S and W. The base of the knoll on the S side has been scarped where a roughly E-W road lies. The location provides good views in all directions.
Raised circular area (int. dims. 29m N−S; 27m E−W) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone, which has a steep external slope (H 2m at N), but is very low internally. The bank is topped by clearly defined wall footings (Wth c. 0.5m). The enclosing bank is best preserved on the W half, but it less clearly defined on the E half, and has been broken down at E. There is a possible fosse, evident as a shallow depression (Wth 1m), outside the inner bank at NW−N, with a low external stone bank (H 0.5m) of stone.
There is possible rectangular house (MA070-148002-) in the SW quadrant of the interior. Immediately to N, there is a roughly trapezoidal depression (c. 5m N−S; 5m E−W at S, c. 3m at N; D 0.5m). To W of this, there is poorly defined rectangular feature (6m E−W; 3m N−S), open to E. In the E half of the interior there is a mound of loose stone, most likely the result of relatively recent field clearance activity. The perimeter and interior of the rath are covered in overgrowth.
