The National Monuments Service's description
In a secluded valley drained by a small SE-flowing tributary of the Clydagh River. Reported as a possible horizontal-wheeled water mill (SMR file). The first edition (1837) of the OS 6-inch map shows a ‘Corn Mill’ and ‘Kilns’ near the S bank of a ‘Mill Race’ recorded flowing SE from Lough Fadda c. 530m to the NW. Only the low, overgrown ruined walls (H 0.5-1m; av. T 0.5m) of a rectangular building (L c. 12m NE-SW; Wth 7m) survive. There is insufficient visible evidence of the mill having had a horizontal wheel.
