The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture at the N end of a low flat–topped ridge. A small overgrown, circular area (int. diam. 22m) is enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (int. H 0.2m; Wth 3.5m; ext. H 0.4-0.6m) from NE to SE to SSW which has been reduced to a scarp (ext. H 0.5–1.6m) elsewhere. A wide band of nettle growth (Wth 4m) from N to NE may indicate the line of a back-filled outer fosse, but its line is not clearly visible elsewhere. Pine trees and elder bushes grow along parts of the perimeter and in the interior which is generally level and featureless. A later field fence shown running roughly E-W immediately to the S of the monument on the OS 25-inch map (1893) has been almost entirely removed, apart from a short section (L c. 5m) to the SSW, and a second boundary shown running N-S immediately to the E of the monument has been removed completely.
