The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, with some naturally outcropping rock, near the N-facing brow of a ridge with slightly higher ground to the S. Recorded on the OS 25-inch map (1893) as a raised oval shaped area (est. diams. c. 30m NNE-SSW; c. 25m ESE-WNW) – probably a ringfort – bisected by a later field boundary running NNE-SSW through the interior. The later, Cassini edition of the OS 6-inch map (1920) only records the E-half of the monument, to the E of the later field boundary. This boundary has been removed since and the monument survives as a circular hollow area (diam. c. 20m: D 0.2m), the interior of which slopes slightly down towards the N.
