The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture on a level terrace just N of the highest point of a drumlin, with excellent views everywhere apart from higher ground to the S. An overgrown subcircular area (int. diams. 35m NNE-SSW; 31m NNW-SSE) is defined by the remains of an inner and an outer earthen bank and an intervening fosse. The broad inner bank (int. H 0.5-1.1m; Wth 5-8m; ext. H 1.3-2.5m) has inner drystone facing surviving at W (H 0.35m) and its outer face is poached by livestock. A gap (Wth 3m) at SE may be the original entrance. The fosse (Wth 1.22.6m; D 0.4m) survives from S-W-NE. The second, outer bank (int. H above base of fosse 0.2m; av. Wth 6.5m; ext. H 0.8m) only survives from SW-NW-NE. The overgrown interior is bisected by a later field wall running NNE–SSW.
