The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a low rise, overlooked to SE by a ridge.
Slightly raised, roughly circular area (diam. c. 26m E−W; c. 29m N−S) defined by a ruined drystone wall. At NE−SW the wall (Wth 2m; int. H 1m; ext. H 1.5m at E) has been adapted/rebuilt to serve as a field boundary; at SE−SW a low spread (Wth 1.8m) of stones is evident in the interior 1-1.5m in from the internal wall face, possibly collapse from the original wall. At WSW−N the wall is less well preserved: it is evident here as a stony scarp (ext. H 1m) topped with a stony rim or wall footings, with basal wall courses still in situ in parts.
The interior is relatively level, with a slight dip or slope down in the SE quadrant. The ground surface is uneven and stony underfoot. Slight remnants of a NE−SW field wall cross the interior to S of centre. At the N edge of the interior there is a subcircular pit (diam. 10m; D 1.2m) with heaps of loose stones in its base, and a low mound of stone and earth adjacent to it.
The interior is grassy, with a clump of overgrowth in the E half.
