The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located at the break of slope on the N side of a roughly E–W ridge. There is a steep fall of ground to NW–NE, giving extensive views over lowlying grassland bordered several hundred meters to N by an expanse of bog. To S and W there is undulating hilly terrain.
Circular area (29.5m E–W; 29m N–S) defined by a drystone wall, adapted at NE–SW to serve as a field boundary. There is an abrupt fall of ground immediately outside the enclosing wall at NW−N. The appearance of the wall is not uniform around the circuit: At NE–SE it is low and narrow (Wth 0.9m; H 0.8m), differing little from adjacent field walls; at SE–WSW it has a relatively intact external face (H 1.6m) of rough drystone walling but the internal face (H 1.2m) has largely collapsed to a broadly slumped heap of loose stone; at W–N it is low and dilapidated, incorporating some large boulders at its base, and at N it is reduced to a low stony rise (Wth 0.6m; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.7m) topping an earthen scarp (ext. 1m) cut into the ridge slope.
The interior is flat, featureless and grass-covered. The ridge slope immediately to NNE has been quarried out.
This enclosure may be the remains of a cashel but the extant walling appears quite narrow and insubstantial, it is difficult to determine to what degree it represents the original enclosing element.
