In a pasture field which is traversed by relict cultivation ridges, on the lower reaches of a SSE facing mountain slope. Not indicated on the 1838 and 19 OS 6-inch maps. Listed in the SMR (1991) and RMP (1997) for Co. Mayo as 'enclosure'. A small enclosure, possibly an animal pen, was noted here in the 1980’s (pers. comm.
