The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a hill, in a field adjoining a gravel pit. NMI Topographical Files record that a stone built passage (L 1.8-2.1m; Wth 0.4m; H 0.3m) was uncovered in the hill during land reclamation works. The passage was roofed with flags, and opened at the NE end into a chamber, the walls of which survived but not the roof. The base of the passage was filled with a thin layer of 'something like yellow ash' underlying a thin layer of very dark soil. It is though that the structure may have been a kiln. Its exact location was not recorded.
