The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture located on a low rise. The Ox Mountains line the horizon to E-SE and Nephin Mountain is visible to SW. There is a gentle fall of ground towards a small river, 130m to N. The townland boundary coincides with the course of the river.
Three stones of unequal size and spacing are arranged in a row (L 7.4m), on an NNE-SSW axis. The two stones at either end of the row are roughly triangular in shape, with the apex of the triangle pointing to the sky. The middle stone is broad and very slightly rounded at the top but narrows markedly at base, giving it the rough appearance of an inverted triangle with the apex set in the ground. The SSW stone (H 1.7m; Wth 0.25m at top, 1m at base) is the tallest and largest, with a gap of 4.2m between it and the middle stone (H 0.9m; Wth 1m at top, 0.5m at base; T 0.35m). The middle stone and the NNE stone (H 1m; Wth 0.1m at top, 0.6m at base; T 0.25m) and are of similar height, and set 1.4m apart.
There is a standing stone (MA040-091----) 120m to NE and a possible standing stone (MA040-111----) 80m to N, both on the flat lowlying ground bordering the river.
