The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a low rise, with a gradual fall of ground to NW, in undulating terrain.
This enclosure is not indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map, but shown on later editions as a D-shaped hachured area, with the straight side at SW defined by a NW−SE field boundary.
It is evident as a slightly raised D-shaped area (15m NW−SE; 16m NE−SW) defined by a low stony scarp (H c. 0.45m at E). The scarp on the straight side at SW is higher (H 0.8m) and incorporates large stones; it was incorporated into a later NW−SE field boundary, which has since been removed. Remnants of another field wall merge with the NW side of the enclosure. The enclosure has been partly levelled, and is almost entirely obscured by heaps of field clearance stones and boulders. There is another enclosure (MA040-069----) 140m to E.
