The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a rise in undulating terrain, with a steep fall of ground to SW towards an area of wettish ground.
Roughly circular area (c. 22m E–W; 19.6m N–S) defined by a stony bank/wall (H c. 1.2m, at W). The stone bank is ruined, and has been adapted to serve as a field boundary on the N arc. It varies in width from c. 2m to 3m depending on the degree of slumping or addition of field clearance stone. At NNE–SE it appears as a low, sod-covered stony rise, at S–NW as a bank of earth and stone, with a roughly constructed external facing of rounded field stones, and at NW–N it is incorporated into the E-W line of an extant field wall, but retains its original curve. Field clearance stones are piled against the bank, with the largest heaps at S and W. Field boundaries, shown abutting the enclosure at SE and SW have been removed.
The interior is fairly level. Due to the surrounding natural contours, is appears slightly sunken relative to exterior ground level on the W but higher than exterior round level at E.
Interior is grassy; brambles grow on the perimeter.
