In pasture, located on top of a small hillock. Views are somewhat restricted to N by a low ridge, but extensive to S−W, overlooking expanses of poorly drained land/bog, much of which is now planted with forestry. Corrower Lough, now dried up, is located 250m to W. Nephin Mountain is visible on the horizon to WSW.
This enclosure is not shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; it is depicted on the 1922 edition as a circular hachured enclosure. It consist of a slightly raised circular area (15m E−W; 14.5m N−S) defined by remnants of a bank or scarp. It spans the N−S width of the hillock so that it is enhanced on those sides by the natural fall of ground. A low, poorly defined stony bank (Wth c. 2m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.7m) can be traced on the N arc; elsewhere it is largely reduced to a scarp, topped with loose heaps of field clearance stones, particularly on the W arc. The scarp appears to merge with the natural slope at S, but is difficult to examine due to overgrowth and heaps of stones. There a break in the scarp at ESE, possibly the location of an original entrance. The interior is level, with an uneven surface. The perimeter is ringed with blackthorn, ash and sycamore trees. Two fulacht fia (MA040-106----; MA040-107----) are located 40m to S and 65m to SW, respectively.
