The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a slight rise in undulating terrain, with good views to E−SE.
This enclosure, probably a rath, is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular embanked enclosure, abutted by a field boundary at NE, and on the 1922 edition as a circular hachured enclosure (diam. 25-30m) incorporated into a NE−SW field boundary on the N arc, with another field boundary, on a NW−SE axis, cutting through the W half of the interior.
It has been has been levelled. The NE−SW field boundary, which lay at the N end of the enclosure, has also been removed. A short length of the NW-SE field fence is intact, and abutting its W side there is a remnant of the original enclosure bank or scarp. It is evident as a low rise describing a shallow arc SW−NW. There is a rath (MA040-005----) 115m to N.
