The National Monuments Service's description
On a low ridge in an area of undulating pasture, located at a court tomb (MA039 098001 ), now incorporated into the garden of a modern house. de Valéra and Ó Nualláin (1964, 54, no. 59) recorded an enclosure at the E end of the court tomb gallery. They described it as a ‘circular stone-faced bank, about 1.00 m. high and 1.00 m. to 2.00 m. in thickness, which encloses an area roughly 4.50 m. in diameter.’ They interpreted it as probably representing a later alteration of the court area of the tomb (ibid. 55). There is no evidence to suggest that this enclosure is of any great antiquity.
