The National Monuments Service's description

Located against the base of a SE-facing slope of rising ground on margins of damp pasture, reclaimed from bog. A mound (c. 7m N-S; 4-5m E-W; H 1m) of burnt sandstone in a charcoal-rich matrix accumulated to a height of c. 1m against a natural slope. Covered in moss and rushes.
