The National Monuments Service's description
In undulating pasture, located on a low N–S ridge, with a gradual fall of ground to the E. Good views generally, with Lough Conn visible to E.
This rath is depicted as circular in plan, and is named ‘Rathmacormick’ on the 1838 and 1922 OS 6-inch maps. It is evident now as a slightly raised, roughly semi-circular area (c. 14.5m N–S; c. 12m E–W) defined SSE–N by a low, sod-covered stone bank/wall (Wth 2m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.7m). Stones protruding in parts may be the remnants of stone facing or a kerb. Low remnants of a wall, on a roughly E–W axis, bisects the N half of the interior, which is largely obscured by blackthorn scrub.
The E half of the rath has been greatly damaged/levelled in the past, and a concrete shed overlie the SE edge. An E–W wall lies immediately to S of the enclosure, separating it from a modern house and garden. A lay-by on a N–S road encroaches to within a few meters of the rath at W. There is another rath (MA038-059----) 175m to N.
