The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located at the S end of a rise, in an area of rolling limestone grassland bordered 200m to NW by the Deel River. Nephin Mountain is prominently visible to SSW and the Nephin Beg Range extends along the skyline to W.
Circular area or platform (diam. 8m) defined by a fosse (Wth 2.4m; D 0.35-0.4m) with an external bank (Wth 2m at NE, 2.7m at SW; int. H 0.35-0.4m; ext. H 0.5m). Overall diameter (mid bank): 14.5m N–S; 15.5m E–W. The central platform is level, and is well defined by the shallow, flat-based fosse. The external bank is low but well defined, and appears to be constructed of a mix of earth and stone. There is a break (Wth 2.5m) in the bank at ENE, with a corresponding causeway across the fosse to the central platform.
The perimeter is ringed with hawthorn. A field fence, on a roughly E–W axis abuts the external face of the bank at S.
There is another ringbarrow (MA038-053002-) c. 80 to SE, and a possible cairn (MA038-053003-) c. 60m to S. A cluster of other ringbarrows and possible barrows (MA038-050----; MA038-051----; MA038-052----; MA038-146----) are located in adjacent fields within a range of c. 100-250m to SW, NW and NE. There is a possible ringcairn (MA038-054----) c. 300m to SSW.
