The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located below the crest of a N–S ridge, close to the E–facing slope. Nephin Mountain looms to SSW and the Nephin Beg range defines the skyline at S–W.
Slightly raised, flat-topped circular area (13m E–W; 12.5m N–S) defined by remnants of a stony earthen bank (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.5m). The bank survives sporadically, in short, discrete sections, mainly where it has been protected by the roots of hawthorn bushes; elsewhere it is eroded to a low scarp (H 0.3m). It is poorly preserved. It may be the remains of a mound barrow; the diameter is small for a rath.
A short straight length of E-W bank (L 6m; Wth 1.2m; H 0.3m), with a hawthorn bush growing on it, lies 2.6m to S of the barrow. There is no indication that this curved around the barrow; it may be the remnant of a field fence.
