The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on the S slope of a low rise in undulating terrain.
This possible enclosure is not shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; it is shown as a hachured circle (diam. 15-20m) on the 1922 edition. It consists of a roughly circular, sunken area (c. 18m N–S; c. 16m E–W), scarped into the slope of the rise, and defined on its perimeter at E–SE by an irregular sod-covered, stony rim (Wth up to 4m). The N half, which is cut into rising ground, has a pronounced internal slope (int. H 2m) which levels out in the S half of the interior. The perimeter is poorly defined at S and is more or less flush with exterior ground level. remains of an enclosure, that has been partly quarried out, or it may simply be entirely the result of relatively recent quarrying of the natural rise.
The perimeter is ringed with hawthorn. There is a rath (MA038-170----) 7m to W.
