The National Monuments Service's description
In lowlying ground, in an area of cut-away bog.
Portions of field walls were exposed when a field drain was dug in 1979 during land reclamation works (SMR file 1980). The top of the walls lay immediately beneath the sod at the top of the drain. Each wall consisted of two parallel rows of stone slabs (H c. 1m) set on edge with the intervening space (Wth c. 1m) infilled with smaller stones. One wall (exposed L 8-10m) was on a NW-SE axis, and there were two perpendicular walls, set c. 5m apart, extending from it to SW. The exposed lengths of walling were destroyed during the drain construction, but field walls may survives beneath the peat cover in the adjoining fields.
