The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, adjacent to stream. There is a farmstead immediately to E.
This holy well, named ‘Toberberreen’ on the 1837-8 and 1922 OS 6-inch maps, was noted as a holy well in the OS Letters (O’Flanagan 1927, 110). According to local information, Stations of the Cross used to be said here, but not in living memory. It was used as a source of water for the nearby farm, until it dried up and was infilled.
