The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on top of an E−W ridge, at the break of slope on the W-facing side. There is with a stream at the base of slope 80m to S, and excellent views of the surrounding undulating landscape.
This rath consists of a roughly circular, raised area (24.4m N-S; 26.5m E-W) defined at SE−NE by broadly sloping scarp (H 1.4m to N; 3.4m to W). The scarp is truncated by a N−S field wall to E; a break (Wth 2.4m) in the scarp to NE coincides with a gateway in the field wall. The natural slope enhances the scarp at S−W, and the rath is built up higher on this side to create a level interior. The scarp retains a slight internal lip to N. The scarp at S is largely concealed by overgrowth and field clearance debris, and an E−W field fence lies at the base of the slope.
