The National Monuments Service's description

At a holy well (MA031-043----). A concentration of loose stones (c. 2m N-S; c. 3m E–W) abuts the E side of the well. It forms a low cairn, partly concealed by sod and hawthorn scrub, on the crown of the small, low hillock into which the well is built. It may be a penitential station.
