The National Monuments Service's description

On the N outskirts of Ballina town, located on top of a N-S ridge bordering the E bank of the River Moy.
Indicated on 1837 OS 6-inch map as a circular, rath-like enclosure (diam. 25-30m), with a smaller enclosure (MA030-039----) immediately adjacent at SE. It is not shown on later map editions. There are no visible remains at ground level. Much of the W slope of the ridge has been quarried away, and it is likely that part at least of the W half of the enclosure has been completely destroyed.
