The National Monuments Service's description

In good pasture, situated on top of a prominent hill affording panoramic views in all directions. Not listed in the SMR (1991) or in the RMP (1995). Not indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map but indicted on the 1921 edition. Oval area (9m N-S; 6.9m E-W) enclosed by a narrow wall (Wth 0.8m; max. H 0.85m) of drystone masonry. There is an opening at the base of the wall at WNW, possibly a drain. A break (Wth 0.9m) in the wall at S represents the original entrance. Inspected in 1995, this enclosure appears to be associated with a ruined farmstead, probably no earlier in date than the 18th century.
