The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located close to the W boundary of the townland, on a low ridge, close to the break of slope on the N side. The location provides good views, particularly extensive to NW along a shallow valley of wettish pasture.
Slightly raised, roughly circular area (22.8m NE–SW; 25.6m NW–SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.3m at NE, 3.7m at SW; int. H 0.25m at NE, 0.55m at SW; ext. H 1.7m at NE, 1.15m at SW). The bank has a pronounced external slope at N, where it is enhanced by the natural contours of the ridge, but, in general, it is rather degraded with several gaps eroded by farm stock. The interior is level, grassy and featureless. The perimeter is ringed with gorse, brambles and blackthorn, with the overgrowth encroaching somewhat on the interior at N.
