The National Monuments Service's description
This castle and its associated settlement (MA065002-) was listed in the 1635-7 Strafford Inquisition of Co. Mayo as follows: "..the castle, town and lands of Rosse commonly called Rosse Mc Paddin..." (O’Sullivan 1958, 153). Its exact location is unknown.
