The National Monuments Service's description
This record is based on the following reference in the 1838 OS Letters "Near it is also pointed out the remaining portion of his lime-kiln (MA015-057002-) and at this is seen the site of the lime house." (O'Flanagan 1927, 224 (127-8)). According to local tradition, it was associated with St. Gobban, whose church (MA015-057001-) gave the townland its name. The exact location of this building is unknown.
